    1. Look, the mordhau grip is useful but wearing gauntlets to not get your hands fucked up should be obvious without a tutorial.

    2. 10 minutes later: “Why is this game so hard? The mechanics are broken!” (I literally skipped the screen explaining how to parry).

    3. When the game says ‘Press X to parry’ but you’ve already decided that the hilt is the business end.

dude that grip was an actual method to deal with armoured opponents

although why the OTHER dude doesnt have armour and stuff on is another thing

I usually play and if i don’t understand then i do go through with tutorial. Like i played dota 2, and had not played similar game before, tutorial window was surprisingly helpful.

I do need tutorials for game specific mechanics but most games force upon you movement and jump tutorials which gets annoying

isnt it a valid tactic to use the often oversized pummel of a sword as a bashing weapon against other armored targets.

of course that’s considering you’re also using a gauntlet to not slice off your own fingers

      Bro… tutorial loot?
How can you pass up that rusty dagger you will LITERALLY never use?

He’s doing it wrong, but this is an actual technique called pommeling. The pommel is the bit at the end. It acts as both a counterbalance and grip aid. Using gloves to protect one’s hands from the sharp blade allows the wielder to fully exploit the length of the sword to act as an improvised bludgeoning weapon. Hence the term “pommeled”

This would be particularly helpful against a heavily armoured opponent, with the chief target being the helmet

This is meant to come across as some guy doing something idiotic, but he’s actually correctly applying Mordhau, or, “murder stroke,” justifying his lack of a tutorial.

    13. Yeah, we can tell you didn’t do the tutorial, since you don’t even know that reverse-grip was an actual thing.
